This is the first time, an Ultima Online title got a full-color manual, with the content printed in color as well. Care was taken to make the interior design of the book mesh with the outside with beautiful color page borders with the symbols of the Eight Virtues at the top. The font was thus selected as well and all screenshots are in color as well. While the manual holds no real lore, the text is written less bland than in previous manuals, engaging the player more.

Other Editions[edit]
The book was translated into several other languages, including: German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese (for Taiwan) and Korean. The covers of the books in the European market are just the box art, while the covers of the book published in Asia just look like white paper with the logo on it – the Japanese special edition got the special box arts on the book cover. The Australian cover is the U.S. one, but in monochrome.
The inside of at least the European books is different to the U.S. version. There is no color, all is in monochrome, and the page borders are barely visible additionally to text being printed over them. While the content is the same, the font’s quality is lower.
