Article Title and History[edit]

I think there some confusion in the name and history of the Blue Boar here.

I've gone down and checked in the older Ultima games - but as far as I can tell the Blue Boar has never been an Inn in Britannia. The tavern is just called "The Blue Board" in Ultima III where it is only a tavern, and doesn't exist in Ultima IV where the tavern in Britain is instead called the "Spirit Food".

But in all subsequent games where the Blue Boar appears (U5, U6, U7 and even UO), it is specifically called the "Blue Boar's Tavern" which means it has basically never been a inn in Britannia. Contrary to what the article claims the Blue Board is also solely a tavern in Ultima V, the only Inn in the Britannies being in the North Britanny

I feel there must have been some confusion with Serpent Isle's Blue Boar, which is called the "Blue Boar's Inn" and double as both a tarvern and an inn, so I'm inclined to rename and rewrite the article to be more accurate, and possible open a separate Blue Boar's Inn article for the Serpent Isle location.

On a side note there is also a Blue Boar Tavern in Ultima I, though I can't quite remember in which city it was. I think it wasn't even in the Lands of Lord British. --Sergorn 16:20, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

Perhaps the error regarding U5 stems from the combined Wayfarer Inn/Tavern in Britain. In any case, yes, this should all definitely be addressed, with separate Blue Boar Tavern and Blue Boar Inn articles probably being the most prudent course. --Terilem 17:54, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
Sergorn, are you sure about the Blue Boar in Ultima I? This site, which lists all the shops names in Ultima I, doesn't mention anything about the Blue Boar...--Sega381 00:45, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
You might be right. I'll go and check back in the game when I find the time, but I might be confusing it with Dr Cat's tavern which appears in Fawn instead of Paws in Ultima I. In the meantine I've removed the U1 reference.

Regarding Ultima IX's tavern - where does the King's Head name come from Terilem? Not that I doubt you, but I don't recall the tavern's name ever being referenced in the game, and there is also no plaque with a name anywhere. Which is why I kind of always assumed the tavern in Britain was meant to Blue Boar. So I wonder if this name appeared somewhere else. --Sergorn 20:44, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

The name comes from the cluebook and the U9 talk file. --Terilem 21:00, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

Lore?[edit]

What is the thing with the Lore? Could someone tell me about why the sic? If you know what I mean.--Arthgon (talk) 20:13, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Sic is a Latin adverb used in writing to indicate that a quote has been transcribed exactly as it was in the original source, and that any errors are as they were written, not mistakes on the part of the transcriber. In this case, "servicable" is a misspelling found in The Book of Prophecy. --Terilem (talk) 23:14, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
Oh. Of course. *facepalm* It seems that my memory was faulty again. Oops. They also misspelled resurrection a couple of times. --Arthgon (talk) 14:01, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
