Overworld Zero in System Shock 2[edit]

yo dudes on the internet, do you believe it worthy of mention that the RPG 'minigame' in System Shock 2 is likely a homage to Akalabeth, since it plays somewhat similarly, is called "Overworld Zero" and is in a game that is kind-of-sort-of a descendant of the Ultima (Underworld) series? If so, is this worth a mention? Anyways keep up the great work peace out. 98.246.154.135 17:23, 17 September 2011 (PDT)

I think Overworld 0 is more of a homage to the early Ultima games, since the original Akalabeth actually had a very minor overworld component. I think if anything the stick maze of Ultima Underworld II was more of a homage to the original Akalabeth. Dungy 17:41, 17 September 2011 (PDT)

Dungeons and Overworld Screenshots[edit]

Which screenshots of the PC version should be posted here? The black and white of Finire Dragon or actually the one who was created by Richard himself? --Arthgon (talk) 05:23, 20 April 2013 (PDT)

Thanks Sega[edit]

For tackling the Akalabeth article. I hope you can find the heart to tackle the articles for the other games. They're poorly written, but it's beyond my ability to tackle them. Dungy (talk) 17:59, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

No problem, I just wanted it to look better and have a bit more meat in it. There is a lot of stuff I want to add to the game articles, but since I don't have much spare time, I'll have to do it slowly.--Sega381 (talk) 18:12, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

Bug?[edit]

Although, it may be a problem with my computer, but sometimes it throws me back to DOS, (while giving me an error) when one of the creatures (i.e. Thief) attack me in one of the dungeons. Anyone? --Arthgon (talk) 03:04, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

Never saw that. How are you playing Akalabeth? Dungy (talk) 10:03, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
I am using Dosbox. --Arthgon (talk) 21:21, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
Which version, is this from the Ultima Collection? Dungy (talk) 22:37, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
Yes. It is. Although, I do not have it at the moment, because I am on vacation, I will try it again afterwards. I also heard from a friend that he found on the internet that was called Ultima Complete Collection. Has anyone heard of this? --Arthgon (talk) 00:45, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
There is a Japanese-only Ultima Complete collection. Maybe that is what your friend was talking about? --Sega381 (talk) 02:16, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
Yes. That may be the case, that it is that version indeed. Now about the bug. It may be the case that it may work if I make it run under Windows 95' compatability. Because it sometimes crash in DOSBox and does not work in XP. --Arthgon (talk) 17:19, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
I was correct! It works FINE under Windows 95' compatability. MUCH better than DOSbox and XP! No crashing at all and there is even full screen. --Arthgon (talk) 13:06, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

A bug in the Black & White port?[edit]

When you speak to Lord British for the mission, he will send you off to kill something. However, after you have done the deed and go back to him, you will get this message: "Complete thy quest - press spacebar to continue. This happens everytime. Has someone encounter this problem as well? --Arthgon (talk) 17:26, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

Black and white screenshots?[edit]

Are the black and white screenshots from the version of Finire Dragon? --Arthgon (talk) 01:48, 19 May 2013 (UTC) Edit: What was the buttons again (I do not mean Print Screen)? to get pictures as well. (I know. Short-term memory is the first to go..again) --Arthgon (talk) 13:06, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
