Sleeping powder is an agent that causes the subject to fall asleep.
Description[edit]
This powder works the same as the magical spell Sleep, in that anyone who inhales it falls asleep instantly, thus becoming either harmless or a prime target for an attack. The disadvantage of this powder is, however, that it is a one-use item and a rare one to find at that, making it far more convenient to instead use the spell or the equivalent potion.
While the gargoyles once had their own version of this powder in Ultima VI, the Zu Ylem Dust, its core ingredient was lost in the destruction of their world. By the time of Ultima VII however, humans developed their own somniferous. It also was invented on the far Serpent Isle as well and freely sold in Moonshade.
