Karenna is a trainer working in Minoc. She appears in Ultima VII.

Description[edit]

A woman of action, Karenna emphasized cardiovascular exercise to her clients, and had written several books regarding appropriate routines. Her focus on women's health in particular had led her to pen one of the only existing volumes detailing working out when pregnant, and two of her pupils, Amanda and Eiko, praised her rigor as a woman's trainer.[1]

Due to a lightning fire which had burnt down one of the two training halls within the city,[2] Karenna shared her home and exercise studio with another instructor named Jakher, who despite his complaints about her fighting style, greatly admired her beauty. The Avatar could relay Jakher's affections to Karenna, and learn that she returned them. The hero could then further deliver Karenna's sentiments back to Jakher, confirming the older man's suspicions that his housemate was, indeed, interested in him.[3]

Like many residents of the city, Karenna was deeply disturbed by the seemingly senseless double-homicide of Frederico and Tania, two gypsies who had a long-standing enmity with the local Fellowship. Having held the husband and wife in high esteem, she related that the worst she had seen them do was throw a few rocks through the nearby meeting hall's windows – an act that the combative woman did not find particularly damaging, despite its threatening nature.[4]
