A hospital in the city of Moon

A hospital is a variety of healing facility unique to the Nintendo-port Ultima III.

Description[edit]

In the NES variant of the game, hospitals functioned similarly to the healers of the original version, save that the healers which staffed such places would not heal mundane injuries, and would often incorrectly perform resurrections, reducing the bodies of their patients of ash. As hospital doctors were not versed in the art of recalling those in such a state, the Stranger would have to seek out the aid of temple priests should any companions need restored.

Hospitals were generally staffed with a single healer and a female greeter (presumably a nurse). Should the hero's company be in need of gold, they could sell whole blood to the doctor on call for a rate of thirty gold pieces for every hundred units.
