Yasuda is a farmer living in New Magincia during the time of Ultima V.

When meeting him, Yasuda spoke of how he and his fellow farmers had worked hard to build New Magincia and that they were now near completion. However, he darkly added that they would have been done by now if not for Blackthorn sending the Shadowlords to take away half of their harvest. He called the whole dictatorship self-righteous and false.[1]

The husband of Fumiko and father of Tetsuo, Yasuda told the hero that he made his living from fishing the seas around New Magincia, and farming the rich black soil of the island. Yasuda said there was little on the island, other than the docks where ships arrived monthly, allowing Tomoka to sell the island's produce, and Kaiko to restock the supplies for her shop. There was also The Humble Palate run by Genne which served as inn and tavern on the island, and a small swamp which Yasuda recommended the hero avoid for there was no healer on the island.[2]
If the Avatar informed Yasuda that Tomoka still loved him,[3] Yasuda assured the Avatar they had mistaken this for respect, for they had been friends and co-workers for a many years, and he felt Tomoka would never try to hurt his marriage to Fumiko.
