In Ultima Online, the Waste is a huge desert on the Tokuno Islands, covering the northern half of Makoto-Jima, only separate from Zento by the Phoenix Mountains.
Description[edit]
The Waste is an inhospitable place, nevertheless the biggest threat is just dying of thirst, as the monsters inhabiting this place are unusually weak and are only of minor consequence, It is creatures like skeletons, orcs and several kind of beetles. Inexperienced adventurers therefore use this area to hone their skills, but they should never become overconfident, as the many bones of the dead warn.

- In the western desert, the house of Inu the prophetness is found. While what she says seems to be gibberish, it actually were hidden hints on planned future events that eventually came to be.
