In the Britannia of Ultima Online, Prison Island is the holding facility for all the criminals of the land.
Description[edit]
Located north of Yew, the island is only connected to the mainland with a single bridge, which is heaily guarded. There is little way to escape from that place. However, the adventurer had to know that besides its main use of holding criminals, the prison also does hold a secret. Namely a passage to the Lost Lands, which transports directly to the lighthouse north of the big desert. The problem is, to first get onto the island and not to get caught by the guards, otherwise one becomes a permantent resident.
Trivia[edit]
- The principle of Prison Island, that the prisoners have no chance to escape because of the strong currents in the sea surrounding the island, is the same as that of Alcatraz, the former prison in the bay of San Francisco.
