This article is about an Ultima IV character. For other uses, see Gem (disambiguation).
Gem is a fair woman who lives in Vesper during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
A woman who described works of humility as her life's calling, Gem could be found in the company of other shepherds and humble folk, and would instruct the Stranger as to how to discern the mantra of Humility by reversing the mantra of Pride.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Gem can be identified as the woman in pink in same room, who simply says "Hello" when spoken to.[2]
- In the supposed journal of the Avatar (discovered by historians Robert De Main and Carlotta Stein) Gem, Plain, Simple, Joseph and Randal all speak to the Stranger as a group, answering the hero's questions collectively.[3]
