Transcript: Bullwier

Bullwier is the blacksmith at Naughty Nomaan's of Jhelom during the time of Ultima V.

Description[edit]

After getting hints from Telila in Britain that Bullwier had information about the Mystic Weapons, the Avatar travelled to Jhelom to speak with the man himself. Bullwier proved to be quite unfriendly, and after several questions about his job (which he answered with insults) threatened to call the guards. Forewarned, the Avatar came to business and asked about the Mystics.[1]

Bullwier did not know details, but said that Ambrose in Cove should know, adding that thanks to a battle injury, he had only been awake at one hour during the night.

Ultima V: Lazarus[edit]

This is an Ultima V: Lazarus-related article or section. The information within may not apply to Ultima V or other Ultima games.

In Ultima V: Lazarus, Bullwier was a gruff angry man during the day. He would tell the Avatar little other than that he made weapons and armour, and would only glower if pressed for more details.[2] The Avatar could learn from Telila in Britain that Bullwier had information about the Mystic Weapons.[3] Bullwier would direct the hero to Ambrose in Cove for more details.

Nomaan explained how he originally met Bullwier at The Bay Inn in Minoc one evening, and Bullwier had mentioned over pints that while he enjoyed being a blacksmith and was talented at metalworking, he could not stand constantly dealing with customers or administrative duties. The two had at that point decided to go into business together, with Nomaan working the administrative and sales aspect of Naughty Nomaan's.[4]

Should the hero meet Bullwier in the evenings while intoxicated, the man would be in a jovial mood, but short on words.

Trivia[edit]

  • Bullwier's threat is serious. Annoying him too much will result in him calling the guards!
