Allen is a small boy living in Cove during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Should the Stranger speak to him, Allen could give the hero information about the Abyss, claiming that it could only be reached with a ship possessing a magically strengthened hull. He also pointed the Stranger to Blissful for more information on the Abyss, revealing that the seahorse was capable of speech.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- Technically, Allen's assertion that the Abyss can only be reached with a ship that had its hull magically strengthened (with the wheel of HMS Cape) is incorrect: It is demonstrably possible, if difficult, to fight past the pirate fleet at the Isle of the Avatar without having or using the wheel.
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Allen can be identified with the child in the same location, who gives the same information about Blissful.[2]
