Lassorn is a wounded sailor who may be found recuperating in Serpent's Hold during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Lassorn had been a sailor aboard His Majesty's Ship (HMS) Cape when the great ship sank in the bay off of the Cape of Heroes at some point prior to the beginning of Ultima IV. The sole survivor of the wreckage, Lassorn somehow made his way to the Isle of Deeds where he sought care under Windwalker. Should the Stranger visit with him, he would tell the hero his story, giving the adventurer clues as to the where his lost vessel's enchanted wheel might be found.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the document discovered by historians Robert DeMain and Carlotta Stein, which purports to be the Avatar's personal diary, Lassorn is described as being severely emaciated and sunburnt, no doubt having suffered the ill effects of exposure. He welcomes the Stranger's visit despite his frailty, being glad for a visitor.[2]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (Japanese original), Lassorn can be identified with the injured man in the same room. This character was removed in the English localization, and the room only has an empty bed. In fact, the magical wheel was omitted from the remake.[3]
