This article is about an NPC from Ultima VII. For other uses, see William (disambiguation).

William is a sawyer in Minoc during Ultima VII.

Description[edit]

The owner and proprietor of the Minoxian sawmill, William had the misfortune to be the first to find the mutilated remains of Frederico and Tania after their murders at the hands of Hook. A nervous and insecure man, the laborer appeared unable to shake the shock of the discovery, and was visible upset long after the slayings.[1]

As a recent Fellowship convert, William appeared very taken with the philosophical society, claiming it had given him the inner strength to deal with the horror of the killings and that it had very much improved its life in the months since he had joined. He appeared to have come into the fold around the time that Owen's monument was announced, and was gladly anticipating its construction.[2]

Lore[edit]

We have a tinker, Julia, who understands the construction of any contraptions thou canst conceive of, a blacksmith who makes the finest horseshoes I have ever seen, a clockmaker, a sawyer, a candlestick maker and a glassblower who also sculpts - me!

Trivia[edit]

  • William sleeps in a room within the sawmill near to where the murders took place, making it somewhat suspicious that he was not awakened in the course of the slayings.
