What's a "Dire Ghost"?

Searching for it here shows a lot of indirect descriptions and Googling for it is also inconclusive. Is the comparison apt? The Ultra-Mind (talk) 08:03, 11 April 2019 (MDT)

Dire Ghosts are stronger ghosts in both Underworlds, which are black instead of white. You can read about it in Memoirs of Sir Cabirus and A Safe Passage Through Britannia. The comparison actually fits, since they do look a lot alike, only that the shadow beast if vaguely humanoid. Here a link to a picture of a dire ghost in game: [1]

So the "dire" epithet is only used in-game? I can't find it in the Safe Passage.

I'm a bit surprised you didn't find the mention of dire ghosts in the manuals, just look at the fitting lore quotes of Ghosts. Though dire ghosts and shadow beasts are of course two different creatures, they simply have some similarities in looks.--Tribun (talk) 20:29, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
