Questionable appearances[edit]

What do we know about how cold-fire being endowed upon fire swords and firedoom staffs? Is that entirely based on the fact that these devices are outlined by blue (like on Pagan) in contrast to similar weapons in previous games that were red?

Also, is it true that all magical fire in SI is blue? I left that part in, but if we could get a fact-check on that... The Ultra-Mind (talk) 15:10, 8 March 2019 (MST)

Well, the part of ALL magical fire in SI being blue is plain wrong. The battle of the monks right at the start proves so. There also are many normal red fire fields...
Btw., the firesword and the staff being blue doesn't have to mean it's cold fire. It could also very well mean that the flame is simply hotter (blue flames in RL mean the flame is really hot).--Tribun (talk) 15:22, 8 March 2019 (MST)
Both fair points. I'm guessing the original author's intent was to say that all fire spells available to the player are cold-fire, though the wording wasn't specific enough.
But also, now I think the article goes too far in the other direction by stating that not all blue flames in SI are cold-fire. Can we know this for certain? --Terilem (talk) 05:55, 9 March 2019 (MST)
So it seems that the connection between cold-fire and magical weapons is an overreach and I'm not hearing a lot of confidence in the colour issues, so I'll take them out for now. The Ultra-Mind (talk) 08:37, 11 March 2019 (MDT)
