Valkadesh is the leader of the winged gargoyles in the underwater city in Ultima IX and proud of his race's technological accomplishment.
Description[edit]
The Avatar met him in his office after entering the Underwater City. Valkadesh said that all the gargoyles saw the Avatar as the False Prophet, who would destroy them according to prophesy. Valkadesh also believed the prophesy to be inevitable, but that the Avatar's intentions were good. He also noted that Queen Zhah was angry since the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom had vanished from the void, where it was housed for gargoyles and humans to share.[1]
When the Avatar asked how to reach the dungeon Hythloth, Valkadesh said to consult Wislem in his floating house. He died, when during the collapse of the city he was murdered by Noname.
