Talk:Virtues in Ultima IV
Tribun, I think that's maybe just too many images for one page. At the very least, they look kind out of place where they are now. Dungy 17:52, 21 January 2012 (PST)
- Well, I'd have loved to put the left of the bullet points, but then it would have screwed up their formatting. I think the real problem is, that there's mostly to little text to the right of the new pictures. I put additional information there.--Tribun 18:00, 21 January 2012 (PST)
Overpaying reagent lady for more Honesty[edit]
I'm replaying Ultima IV right now and I'm 99.9% convinced this doesn't work, though my only evidence is the debugger with xu4. You basically get 2 points for an honest interaction with her, regardless of how many reagents you purchase at once or how much you overpay. (So if you buy one ginseng and one garlic, you still only get 2 points.) You also have to wait at least one turn before talking to her again -- immediately restarting the conversation and paying the right amount doesn't net any more Honesty points. Can anyone confirm how this worked in the original game? Metaneira (talk) 23:19, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- That's right, tipping doesn't give you more honesty. We've done a lot of work culling speculation from the Wiki but there's more to do, as you can see. ;) I don't know offhand about waiting one turn, though. --Warder Dragon (talk) 16:06, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
- Good! Generosity is not honestly!
- Keep in mind, though, that U4 was released to multiple platforms. I can see increased honesty resulting for overpayment creeping into a port. The Ultra-Mind (talk) 18:02, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
