What do we know of her connection to Hawkins?[edit]
I've scoured the transcript and the cluebook but I don't see enough reason to be sure that she was part of Hawkins crew or that she killed him. Continue at Talk:Ten pirates of Hawkins#Do_we_know_all_10_of_these_were_his_crew.3F.--The Ultra-Mind (talk) 15:57, 7 August 2024 (MDT)
- "After Captain Hawkins passed away, we tore his treasure map into nine pieces." "The plan was, when nobody was looking for us any more, we'd get together and go dig it up." - Homer
- "Sandy, the ship's cook, went to Trinsic with the first mate." - Homer
- "So, does the subject of pirates interest you?" yes "Well, first, there is one in Serpent's Hold. I cannot recall her name, but she has a piece of the map with her." - Sandy
- So the pirates that were part of Hawkins' crew split up the map. Sandy the ship's cook points you to Morchella the pirate who has a piece of the map. Why would Morchella have the map if she wasn't part of the crew? Why would Sandy know of her if she wasn't part of the crew? Why would she have the map if she wasn't part of the crew? The one piece that was Nathaniel Moorehead's which isn't held by the original pirate anymore is made very clear that it is no longer in the hands of the pirate. -- Fenyx4 20:02, 7 August 2024 (MDT)
- I didn't know that Sandy implicated Morchella. However, I did know the rest of that, so it still seems to come down to Hawkins's crew being everyone who is a pirate and has contact w/a map piece. Thing is, pirates are likely to associate w/pirates from other crews, especially after their leader is killed and even more so, in a world where an entire village is dedicated to their industry. Then there's the problem of there being 10 survivors of Hawkins but the map is in 9 pieces.--The Ultra-Mind (talk) 11:32, 8 August 2024 (MDT)
- Sandy didn't have a map piece he just points you to the rest of the pirates that Homer didn't tell you about. Guess they didn't give the cook a piece of the map. That is why there are 9 pieces and 10 crew. Yes, it is every pirate who has contact with a map piece AND you get sent to by Homer and Sandy. -- Fenyx4 23:36, 8 August 2024 (MDT)
