Talk:Book of Honesty
Book of Honesty or Book of Truth? The Ultima Underworld manual calls in the Book of Truth. Are they the same book? I mean, sure it's destroyed, but reappears in Ultima IX, but just look at the skull of Mondain.
Also, wording. "Stupid" is not really an acceptable adjective on a wiki. Dungy 18:53, 1 March 2012 (PST)
- Based on the article, it would seem that the Book of Honesty (labeled as Book of Truth in the game apparently) is actually a new object, not the original Book of Truth. - Iceblade
- But where is is called the Book of Honesty? The manual for Ultima Underworld calls it the Book of Truth (Not the book of Honesty, despite what this article says). If it's also called the Book of Truth in-game, then why is it called the Book of Honesty in this article? Dungy 03:21, 2 March 2012 (PST)
- OK, it is called "Book of Honesty" in the cluebook, but the "Book of Truth" in the manual. What is it in-game? If it's the "Book of Truth" in-game that makes it 2:1 "Book of Truth". Dungy 03:24, 2 March 2012 (PST)
- Not helping much since I don't have any in-game evidence yet but in "Quest for Clues: The Book of Orbs" and More Avatar Adventures it is referred to as "Book of Honesty". -- Fenyx4 07:49, 2 March 2012 (PST)

It IS labeled and called "Book of Honesty" in-game so we can say case closed.--Tribun 09:10, 2 March 2012 (PST)
Thank you Blu3Vib3[edit]
On man Blu3Vib3, I'm so glad you picked up that reference. My mind has boggled reading up about that guy and his philosophy. Dungy 17:43, 2 March 2012 (PST)
Holy book or "body of creative work"?[edit]
According to standards by which we italicize titles, I'm wondering if this is a holy/sacred/magical book or a "body of creative work". It's a "talisman" which is sounds sublime, suggesting that it shouldn't be italicized, but when I read the lore quote it sounds kind of creative. I lean towards "body of creative work".The Ultra-Mind (talk) 21:12, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
