Summon Moongate

Since the moongate system and the Orb of the Moons are disturbed from the events in Ultima VII, and the Gate Travel spell is no longer available at the time of Ultima IX, the Summon Moongate ritual is needed in order render the moongates useful.

Description

For this ritual, the mage first needs possession of a new kind of Orb. Once the Orb of the Moons is obtained, in order to call the gate, the orb is to be placed in a moongate circle and then the mantra of the destination gate has to be chanted. Note that travel is only possible to gates, whose Shrines already have been repaired. Otherwise, the way stays closed.

In times past, the caster placed the Orb of the Moons in a Moongate circle of stones near one of the Eight Shrines of Virtue. He called forth the spirit of the Moongate and requested transport through the gate to the destination of his choosing. Yet, the clouding of the ether has obscured the routes through the void.
