Silent is a name used by two chanting druids living in Yew during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
These two enigmatic men could be found in a clearing, where they stood near a magical sentient bonfire along with the quiet Jaana. Should the Stranger attempt to speak to them, the hero would find them oblivious to any inquiries, as they both seemed intently absorbed in their ongoing meditative chant of the word beh. Should the adventurer have previously consulted with the twin councilors Pinrod in the Yewen Court of Justice, it would be clear that this mysterious syllable is the mantra of Justice.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Silent can be identified with a druid on the town main street. Instead of being near Flamis, he invites the Stranger to talk to the flame spirit.[2]
