Saer'bhan is a daemon in Windemere in Ultima V: Lazarus.
A creature of immeasurable evil, Saer'bhan immediately recognized the Avatar, stating the hero had justifiably killed many of his kind while liberating the Shrine of Humility, including the great Virtuebane who had brought Magincia to its knees. Saer'bhan had been enslaved by Elistaria, torn from the elemental planes with his brothers Fraoch and Sarkael, and forced to do her bidding. Imprisonment had been hard on Fraoch, noted Saer'bhan, turning his brother into a snarling monster. He also worried about the fate of Sarkael, who he hadn't heard of since being sent to Cove.[1]
The cunning daemon told the hero that Elistaria kept them bound to Britannia through three talismans, skulls, which were kept locked within the vaults of the keep and warded against their entry. He was determined to deprive Elistaria and her kin of their lives if he were to acquire the skulls and be set free, seeking the hero's help in such an endeavor.
Should the Avatar give Saer'bhan his binding element, the skull of Councillor Windemere, Saer'bhan would use his new found freedom to attack the sorceress Elistaria.
