Reyna is a healer living near Empath Abbey during Ultima VII.
Description[edit]
A warm and empathetic woman, Reyna developed her interest in the healing arts as a child when she encountered a wounded dove and nursed it back to health. This interest in animals continued into her adult years—even when she turned her training toward human clients—and the local scholars Perrin and Taylor would claim that the healer could entice the local squirrels and deer to play with her.[1][2][3]
At the time of the Avatar’s adventures in Britannia, Reyna had recently lost her mother and was still grieving over her passing. If spoken to about this, the young woman would mention that she visited her grave site in the nearby cemetery daily and often brought flowers purchased from Aimi—although she was saddened that her mother had no other nearby relatives to likewise tend it. Should the hero speak to Aimi about Reyna's loss, the monk would offer the Avatar flowers for the healer free of charge,[4] and if presented with the bouquet, Reyna would offer her services at a discount in gratitude for the hero's kindness.[5]
Lore[edit]
“ | Aimi has told me that the healer, Reyna, chose to work in the forest so she could be around the wild animals. I have often seen her feeding deer, rabbits and squirrels on the way to purchase flowers from Airni's garden. – from Key to the Black Gate (Ultima VII)

Trivia[edit]
- Reyna's mother is never named, although her distinctive headstone reads, "In loving memory of Mama."
- If the player obtains the discount, Reyna is the least expensive healer in Ultima VII. She also will offer her services when her shop is not open if the party's need for healing is deemed an emergency.[7]
- Reyna's real world counterpart is an unidentified friend of Ultima VII writer Andrew Morris.[8]
- In the Keyring Mod for Ultima VII, Laurianna would take up residence with Reyna after the death of her stepfather, Zauriel.
