When the broken moonstone brought the Avatar, Dr. Rafkin, and Jimmy Malone to Eodon, it also brought Rafkin's laboratory along with them.
Description[edit]
Located southeast of the Kurak Tribe's village in The Savage Empire, the laboratory contains a number of items necessary for surviving in the savage lands, including: a fire extinguisher, a fire axe, a rifle and ammunition, various storage containers, and a number of basic metal tools.
A strange metal key can also be found within his laboratory, but what purpose this may have served remains unclear. Additionally, the laboratory contains unmovable tools that Dr. Rafkin needed in order to create the improvised bamboo flintrock rifles, which were essential in order to circumvent the limited amount of rifle ammo in Eodon.

The remains of the lab — a modern floor, tables, bookshelves, and other furniture — is now located plop in the middle of the jungle south of the Kurak village. Take along all the scientific gear you care to: You'll be unable to find any evidence that the lab was transported there overland... because it wasn't. |

Inventory[edit]
Following is the inventory of the laboratory and what the items are needed for:
- 1 rifle (weapon)
- 1 fire axe (weapon, used to cut down trees)
- 1 fire extinguisher (needed to cool lava)
- 30 rifle bullets (ammo for the rifle)
- 1 piece of meat (food)
- 3 white jars with 30 potassium nitrate and 9 magnesium (jars are containers, nitrate is used for gunpowder, magnesium gives light)
- 2 yellow jars with 30 sulphur (jars are containers, sulphur is used for gunpowder)
- 1 black jar with 18 charcoal (jar is container, charcoal is used for gunpowder)
- 1 soft clay pot (container, useful for grenades)
- 1 emerald (currency for the Nahuatla Tribe)
- 1 metal bucket (needed to get tar for grenades)
- 1 mortar (needed to make gunpowder)
- 2 wire screens (needed to get sulphur from pits)
- 1 camera (in case you don't free Jimmy Malone)
- 2 skillets (useless)
- 1 pot (container)
- 1 diamond (useless)
- 1 key (useless)
- 1 liquor (useless)
- 1 bucket w/10L of water (useless)
