Trivia[edit]
- The model for Melino's character portrait is Henri Wendel.[5]
- The Avatar will need to find a three-pronged, tan key in a chest in Columna and Melino's house and use it to gain access to the basement. There, they will be greeted by a buzz saw trap, and may thereafter find a scroll of Time Stop and a green key, which will open a chest hidden within the trees outside of the home. In order to access this chest, which contains the Comb of Beauty, the hero will need to locate a hidden door within the mages' bedroom. A more general search of the property will additionally yield a curative red potion and strange, undrinkable potion in a bronze-colored container.
- Filbercio, who also wished to bed Columna, contracted Stefano to steal a pair of her stockings from Torrissio's home, such that he could blackmail her by threatening to bring them to Melino.[6] This article was exchanged for the Avatar's blackrock serpent during a teleport storm, and the hero could show them to Melino. Doing so, however, would enrage the magician, who would take issue with his wife's infidelity being flaunted before him, and he would speak to the Avatar no more.
- Melino mistakenly says Columna's Intuition is the only spell known to be named after the magician who created it, although the game features a spell called Erstam's Surprise.[4]
- All the inhabitants of Moonshade have Italian or Italianish names. Melino is a shortened form of "Carmelino", in turn a diminutive form of "Carmelo", an actual Italian name.
