Juliet is a fair maiden who, during the time of Ultima IV, may be found in Lord British's throne room.
Description[edit]
Should the Stranger have spoken to Juliet during the quest toward Avatarhood, the lady would task the hero with seeking knowledge of how the Eight Virtues combined to form the three principles and to further discover the greater single Axiom which encompassed them.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- According a document discovered by historians Robert de Main and Carlotta Stein which purports to be the Avatar's personal diary, Juliet was among the first people to advise the Stranger when on the quest of the Avatar, approaching the hero shortly after the first audience with Lord British upon coming to the realm. The flustered Terran reports being somewhat caught off guard by Juliet's beauty and seemed uncertain as to how to talk to her. The journal recounts that she put her hand to the Stranger's lips before departing, leaving the adventurer with a stark recollection of the scent of her rose-scented perfume.[2]
- In the Nintendo-port of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Juliet can be identified as the bard in the same room. She will give a speech as to the necessity for an Avatar to save the realm from the lingering evil which resides in the hearts of men.[3] Alternatively, this bard could be identified with the mute bard from the original version.
