Circe is a wise mage living in Cove during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Circe could be found sitting around a fire in a small clearing, along with Shaman, Charm, and Spellbind. Circe, like his friends, spoke of the mysteries of the axiom, claiming that its whole is greater than all its three parts: the measure of unending Love, the limitless Courage needed to face all obstacles, and the Truth that encompasses all things.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the novelization of Ultima IV in Ultima: The Avatar Adventures, Circe is female. When asked by the Stranger for her opinion on the Principles, she enigmatically smiles, and whispers her response gently into the hero's ear.[2]
- Circe is the name of an enchantress or minor goddess who features in Greek mythology. She is best known for her role in Homer's Odyssey, in which she transforms Odysseus' men to pigs when they land on the isle of Aeaea.
