Gordon is a fish and chips vendor working at the Farmer's Market on Park Square in Britain during Ultima VII.
Description[edit]
Gordon was a mild-mannered retailer who had recently rebounded from severe financial difficulties; a turnaround he attributed to his membership in the Fellowship. Since joining the philosophical society, Gordon claimed that he had greatly improved his business sense and that his stand had become progressively more profitable and popular – to the point where he had personally served fish and chips to Lord British, himself.[1]
In spite of his new found prosperity, Gordon dreamed of saving up sufficient funds to travel to Buccaneer's Den, whose blossoming tourism industry promised the simple merchant a life of excitement. Of particular appeal was the House of Games, at which Gordon hoped to win money. So great was the street vendor's enthusiasm regarding the pirate-themed resort that his excitement had spread to his friend, James, a local innkeeper suffering from dissatisfaction with his current profession.[2]

Trivia[edit]
- Gordon's dialogue clearly was written before worldbuilding was fully done, since he describes himself selling his fish and chips from a wagon, which he doesn't in the final game – it's a normal market stall.
