Flessar was a Serpent Islander and Monitorian knight who died sometime before the events of Ultima VII Part Two.
Description[edit]
Flessar was a knight of Monitor's Leopard Command who had been a close friend to Templar. A young and inexperienced knight, Flessar apparently looked up to the superior swordsman as a role model.[1]
At some point, Flessar accused Argus, a captain of the Wolf Command, of accepting bribes, comparing him to his great-grandfather, Silverpate, in an attempt to incense him.[2] Eager to defend himself against insult, Argus challenged the youth to a duel on the List Field, and Flessar met his death at Argus' blade - allegedly by accident.[2] Following the incident, there was an uproar involving the Bears, who took Flessar's part (possibly on Templar's behalf), and the Wolves, who proved eager to defend their own. Ultimately, the situation was put to rest when Argus left Monitor of his own volition, returning to his family's inn to take charge of it following his father's disappearance. Templar, however, took this as a confirmation of the man's guilt.[3]
