Ultima V: Lazarus[edit]
This is an Ultima V: Lazarus-related article or section. The information within may not apply to Ultima V or other Ultima games.
The healer at The Shield of Truth in Ultima V: Lazarus, she was capable of all varieties of the magical arts, and was one of the few healers offering resurrection services, refusing to bow to Blackthorn’s edict banning such services. Inheriting her position from the former healer at the keep, Faye had grown up within the Lycaeum where both of her parents had been powerful mages. Constrained by Blackthorn's laws allowing only licensed sellers to retail mandrake, Faye asked the hero to speak to Virden the herbalist and assist him with his recent shipment of the reagent, so that she could once again offer resurrection services. Faye was frustrated by Blackthorn's edict, suggesting the ban had only been put in place so that those murdered by the Oppression could not tell their tales.[1]
Faye instantly recognized the Avatar, having been responsible for nursing Mariah back to health after being struck down by a Shadowlord’s arrow. The elder healer was baffled by the nature of the magic bolt, noting that it had pierced the mage's heart but had not killed her, merely causing physical and mental anguish. Faye was most grateful that Lord R'hien and Lady Hayden had found the Mariah during their rides in the local forest, noting that is the local guards had gotten to her first there may have been more bloodshed.
Should the hero recover Virden’s reagents from Daem in Buccaneer's Den,[2][3] Faye would be most grateful, once again offering resurrection services.
