Dartane is a member of the Wyrmguard in the dungeon Destard in Ultima IX.
Description[edit]
Dartane was shown to be a cruel man, chaining Bane to a wall, and leaving him to die with the key just out of reach.
The Avatar encountered him in the fortified sections of the dungeon. Dartane boasted of his power, claiming to be the most feared warrior in all of Britannia. However, the Avatar wasn't impressed, which enraged Dartane, and he decided to kill the hero out of sport.[1]
In the following battle, he was slain.
