Transcript: Ankh

The Ankh (known as the Ankh of Knowledge in the NES remake) is a sentient, shining ankh that could be found in the Temple of the Virtues in Cove in Ultima IV.

Description[edit]

Should the Stranger hear from the sapient seahorse Blissful about the enshrined ankh's knowledge of the innermost chamber of the Abyss, which held the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom, the adventurer would have cause to address the otherwise insensate object. Once spoken to, the strange construct would reveal that the aspirant hero must be eight parts an Avatar, possess the Key of Three Parts, know the Word of Passage, and be aware of the pure axiom before the Codex could be revealed.[1]
