The Griffon's Den is a tavern in Serpent's Hold during Ultima VI.
Description[edit]
While Serpent's Hold in earlier times relied on a castle kitchen, by the time of the Gargoyle War this public eatery and drinking house was established to meet the needs of the growing population. The tavern was run by Amanda, with Shubin as the cook, a man with a fable for exotic dishes, could be found cooking in the kitchen. Many of the people of Serpent's Hold visited the tavern for their daily meals.
In the following centuries, The Griffon's Den closed down and in Ultima VII was replaced by the Hallowed Dock.

The tavern is a fair distance from the hold proper, but that’s probably a good thing, with all those walking tin cans running around. Wouldn’t do to have them bumping into each other all the time.
