Raxos is the "First Citizen" and "Great Leader" of Minoc-Cove in Ultima IX, as a political strongman.

Description[edit]

Raxos rose to power during a period of rioting that erupted after the rise of the Guardian’s columns. Raxos had developed a cult of personality even making the doubtful claim that Lord British had given him the right to rule. He himself had delusions of grandeur, and felt that people should be relieved of the burden of choice. Besides his autocratic style of leadership, he also had the idea to restore the Shrine of Sacrifice by sacrificing unbelievers. He intended the mage Nico to be the first victim.[1]

After the Shrine of Sacrifice was cleansed, Raxos saw the error of his ways. He decided to give away his fortune to the people of Minoc-Cove, and retire to life as a hermit, meditating upon the Virtues.

Lore[edit]

Though the city suffers from the tide of popular opinion and practice, the Great Leader believes that he has a solution to the people's woe.

Trivia[edit]
