Our Epic Origin is a special book that comes with the limited boxed edition of Shroud of the Avatar.
Description[edit]
In this book, Richard Garriott shows many of the original papers from his 1977 Dungeons & Dragons sessions with friends, which back in the day would inspire him to write RPG games for computers, which in the end would result in the creation of Akalabeth. The papers are all photographs which then got put into Photoshopped frames, and many also have drawings from 1977 on them.

- The cover of the book is the originally intended box art for Ultima III, as drawn by Helen Garriott, before Richard Garriott decided to approach Denis Loubet. The original art can be seen in the gallery below.
