Jarlath is a farmhand in Britain in Ultima IX.
Description[edit]
The husband of Elva, before the Shrine of Compassion was cleansed, Jarlath took a heartless view of his brother's family's misfortune, and refused to even feed them. Even after his wife reminded him that his brother helped Jarlath in his time of need, Jarlath remained steadfast in his attitude. In taking this attitude, he aligned himself with the mayor Aidon and his callous policy of sending the poor and wretched to Paws. He further showed disdain for Lord British, perceiving him to be estranged from the populace.[1]
After the Shrine was cleansed, he merely admitted that he had been a "dreadful curmudgeon".
