Forum:Getting people to our new site

I've noticed Google is still sadly redirecting everyone to our old site. I was wondering if there are any steps we can use to address this, since I would think it would be in Google's best interest (and definately in ours) to have traffic flow to the new site. I was looking at this page:

http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=83105

and I was wondering if anything there would help us, or is it just a matter of waiting it out and keeping this site active until Google clues in? Dungy 19:23, 5 December 2010 (PST)

Sadly everything I see on there requires us to have more control over the old site than we do. About a week ago I did this though:

http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

Hopefully that will have an effect. I don't know much many detail about how google page rank works but I know having more things link to us helps so posting on forums, blogs, whatever would help. -- Fenyx4 22:42, 5 December 2010 (PST)
