This article is about a character from Ultima V. For other uses, see Christopher (disambiguation).

Christopher is a farmer in the Britannys during the events of Ultima V.

Description[edit]

Talking with him revealed that while he humbly enjoyed his work as a farmer, he felt that his real skill was in the arts. He told the Avatar that currently he was working on a fantasy novel called Times of Lore, hoping to see it published soon through a mysterious channel called "Origin".[1]

Ultima V: Lazarus[edit]

This is an Ultima V: Lazarus-related article or section. The information within may not apply to Ultima V or other Ultima games.

In Ultima V: Lazarus, Christopher could be found working his fields along with Phillip, or drinking at the Blue Boar Tavern. He would greet the Avatar by wondering if the hero would soon be his friend, and if the Avatar mentioned his nickname Dibbs, Christopher would comment that the hero must have been talking to his friends. Christopher said he was a farmer, and felt one should always do one’s job to the best of one’s ability, and that he also wrote fantasy stories in his free time.[2]

Christopher incorporated the local townspeople into his story, Times of Lore, especially young Melaine, who he called his "little wisp". Christopher said how the young girl constantly asked questions about his tale, which allowed him to refine the story, representing Melaine as Maribeth Lamby, a young lady who was kidnapped and rescued by a handsome prince. Christopher also mentioned Phillip could be found within his story, but his friend had not yet guessed where, and that Andre of the Blue Boar could be found working at The Sloshing Froth Tavern within his novel. He had not yet found a place for Camile within his tale, and refused to gossip about the Melaine's father. He also decided since there were few horses in his novel, Kurt, the local stableboy would be reimagined as as young man names Stephen. Christopher further suggested Jaymes and his box of trinkets could represent a great sage and his articles of power, but then remarked on the recent disappearance of the box. If the Avatar had retrieved the trinkets for Jaymes,[3] Christopher would listen intently to the story, and incorporate some of the elements into his novel.
