This article is about a character from Ultima VII. For the bestiary entry, see Zorn.
Zorn is a blacksmith in Minoc during Ultima VII.
Description[edit]
A solitary and simple man, Zorn had no interest in the conflicts dividing the City of Sacrifice, being concerned primarily with the tasks of his livelihood. Terse and direct in his speech, the smithy had not much of import to tell the Avatar, having no interest in the Fellowship or with the Artisan's Guild and caring little for the controversy over Owen's statue.[1]
Despite such aloofness from the rest of Minoxian society, Zorn was quite accomplished at his trade, and his skilled hand was needed to work the mysterious mineral known as caddellite into useable helms, such as that the Avatar and company might penetrate the defenses of the Cube Generator within the caverns of the Meditation Retreat.[2]
Lore[edit]
“ | If thou dost seek a craftsman or craftswoman, thou hast come to the right place. We have a tinker, Julia, who understands the construction of any contraptions thou canst conceive of, a blacksmith who makes the finest horseshoes I have ever seen, a clockmaker, a sawyer, a candlestick maker and a glassblower who also sculpts — me! – from Key to the Black Gate (Ultima VII)
