Invoking a template instead of a parameter[edit]
Around halfway down there's a "{{#if:{{loc|}}|{{UU2loc|{{{loc|}}}|long}}}}". "{{loc|}}" was intended as a parameter, but w/only two sets of braces instead of 3, it becomes a template. I'd fix it myself by just putting the extra braces in, but I'd rather not monkey about w/someone else's code.--The Ultra-Mind (talk) 14:44, 23 April 2025 (MDT)
- Whoops, yup, that's me. I do that alot when I'm making templates, put templates as parameters or parameters as templates, usually I get it all sorted out by the time I publish. Curious - how did you even find that? It's one of those things that's technically a bug, but it's just buggy enough that it does exactly what it's supposed to do and I can't find a usecase to get it to glitch. Anyway, I fixed it, and that 'if' was supposed to be in the bigger location 'if' so I fixed that too. --Sir Robin (talk) 21:40, 23 April 2025 (MDT)
- When you edit something, a list of all the templates appear at the bottom of the page and reds any that don't exist. Because templates get transcluded, you'd see it any time you edit a page w/this template.--The Ultra-Mind (talk) 08:22, 24 April 2025 (MDT)
