The Paper Map[edit]
Has someone tempted with the paper map? You know, moved the logo further up? That's because the one that I got has the logo on the same place as the one of the cloth maps. I shall try to scan the whole map (Is that even possible? My scanner is not THAT big.). --Arthgon 04:29, 3 January 2013 (PST)
- It looks like our current paper map has been cobbled together from several different smaller images (the seams are pretty visible) so it's probably not entirely accurate, no. :) --Warder Dragon 06:25, 3 January 2013 (PST)
- That's because I got the image of the paper map from the Ultima Collection, where it had been separated into four parts. I had to put it back together, but the mediocre quality of the map shows, especially where the parts fit (not so well) together.--Tribun 06:56, 3 January 2013 (PST)
- Shall I scan my map, who was included in "The Complete Ultima VII"? I just hope that it will fit in my scanner. --Arthgon 07:04, 3 January 2013 (PST)
If you can do high quality scans, scan it in four sparate parts and I can then put it together into one map like I did with the new cloth maps uploaded recently. Unlike the Ultima Collection, that should work much better with self-made scans.--Tribun 07:07, 3 January 2013 (PST)
- That new scan looks much better! --Warder Dragon 14:50, 3 January 2013 (PST)
- I once got together w/Xe Dragon and resolved to make hi-res scans of maps. Then I'd do touch ups to remove blemishes and dedistort edges, but never got around to finding a table-top scanner. Maybe I'll actually get around to it soon. -Sigh- I love the artwork that is Ultma maps. The Ultra-Mind 08:12, 4 January 2013 (PST)
- I had to scan the Ultima VII paper map in six parts to prevent that the edges and such were too distorted or blemished. --Arthgon 08:23, 4 January 2013 (PST)
And good thing you did, it made my job of putting it back together for processing so much easier.--Tribun 08:27, 4 January 2013 (PST)
