Talk:The Chronicle of Pagan
"The" before book article names[edit]
The book this article refers to is called "The Chronicle of Pagan". It is clearly stated as such in the image accompanying the article. However, the article is called "Chronicle of Pagan". Why? The "the" is part of the name, it is not used to refer to it as "the only chronicle of Pagan" or something like that. Everywhere I've checked, when dealing with a book's name, the initial "the" is not removed. Sometimes, when trying to order names alphabetically, the "the" is moved to the end of the name, as "Chronicle of Pagan, The", but I don't think this applies here. Any reason NOT to call this article (and others in this Wiki) with the initial "The", which would be the real name?--Sega381 15:14, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
- In fact, the article The Book of Fellowship does exactly that... it has the "The" in its name, and it has a {{DEFAULTSORT:Book of Fellowship, The}} markup to sort it alphabetically. Why shouldn't the same apply to this article?--Sega381 15:17, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's pretty inconsistent. Book of Lore has the same problem and I imagine others do as well. I would definitely be in support of this stuff getting cleaned up. -- Fenyx4 17:22, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, I'll start doing it.--Sega381 01:10, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
More authors?[edit]
I don't have a hardcopy in front of me, but according to compilations Mythran is the author of the "A Treatise" section of this book. Should we be mentioning other authors? Are there more than just these 2 authors? The Ultra-Mind (talk) 15:07, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
- Perhaps we should add, that Bentic did have some people adding to his work when he got to his limits:
- Vardion insisted on adding a page about Britannia's history, with Mythran adding the story of the Black Gate
- Mythran helped with the magic section after Mordea and Malchir proved unhelpful. Vividos and Stellos did send him matrial for their parts.
- You do have a point, that should be mentioned.--Tribun (talk) 15:23, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
