Questions about mechanics

1. What is the duration of a spell?
   1. However long it takes for the player to pass through?
   2. A certain number of moves?
   3. The player's presence on that floor?
   4. I take it the wall heals before the player re-enters the dungeon/tower
2. I also take it that this spell applies to towers.
