And "bandits"[edit]
IF I am not mistaken, the Bandit of IX (strangely enough) uses the same illustration in Journal as the Hood in the manual of Ultima I. --Arthgon (talk) 16:17, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- Hrm, I begin to see the confusion as U9 has both Bandits and Thieves. Simplest solution might be to just roll Hoods into Thieves as well. But let me ponder it for a bit... -- Fenyx4 19:45, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah. They actually re-hashed (spelling?) for an unknown reason, (laziness?) several illustrations of the more older Ultimas. I have been thinking, and this is just an idea, but what about making a separate article about the Bandits? To stop the confusion, if you know what I mean. Oh. Are there any plans to make an article about the Short Sword? --Arthgon (talk) 08:50, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thus, further edits seem to have implied that hoods and bandits are the same thing (for instance Ultima IX monster data has the bandit linked, which is a redirect to this article) and this article linked to the redirect that is bandit until just a few minutes ago. Then, there are "bandits" that appeared in UU1, which means all three monsters/NPC-types are implicated in this article. If anyone were to disagree, he'd probably be right, so maybe more articles need to be written.
- IMO, the link between the U1 hood and the U9 bandit is tenuous, so there should be a "bandit" article. Also, the bandits in UU1 are more like NPCs, in which case there would be the article "Bandit (UU1)", with disambiguation, of course.--The Ultra-Mind (talk) 17:05, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
