U5: Dead body in Chuckles's chambers[edit]

I seem to remember that Chuckles kept a dead body in his chambers in U5. The graphics, being as sterile as they were in those days, and dead bodies being everywhere, I glossed over it at the time. It was only when I was reading on-line forums that I realized the implications of this. Are there any verifiable implications to this? Or is that one tile all there is to the story? I found this paragraph here (you have to expand the "RPG" folder to find it):

In Ultima V, behind the fireplace in the Jester Chuckle's room in Castle Britain is a secret ladder that leads to a room that has a dead body in it. Curiously, there's a prisoner in the dungeon who says "He didn't mean to kill her, and it was Chuckle's fault." But doesn't say any more on the subject and attacks you. Other than this, there is no other mention of this; and Chuckles has no dialogue regarding it.

I plan on verifying this when I get a moment. :) --Polygoncount 19:51, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
UPDATE: It looks like Drudgeworth is the prisoner who gives this info, but it is (likely on purpose) very vague. More later. --Polygoncount 19:53, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
Here's what I've discovered: Yes, behind the fireplace in Chuckles' room, there is a staircase that leads to a small room with a corpse in it (it should be noted that this room is shared with Alistair and Stephen). Drudgeworth does indeed make the claims about Chuckles noted above, but will attack you if freed from prison and has nothing more to say on the matter. Chuckles also has nothing to say about anything related to these topics, HOWEVER: If you ask him about Drudgeworth, he specifically responds, "Who?" HIGHLY SUSPECT. I am adding this to the "Trivia" section and removing the banner, as I have scanned over the U5 transcripts and found nothing else. It appears to be an open-ended mystery, left to the imagination of the player. --Polygoncount 21:05, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
