Ramsel is a name unique to the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV, where Romasco appears as a pirate roaming Buccaneer's Den.
Description[edit]
Ramsel at some point in the past had been a virtuous citizen of Skara Brae, and had left to embark upon the Quest of the Avatar, leaving behind his sister. Unable to complete his pilgrimage successfully, Ramsel did not find enlightenment upon the Isle of the Abyss, but rather remained there to live a vagabond's life, free from the constraints of virtue. With his sister fearing him dead, Ramsel remained in the pirate's island retreat, seemingly happy in his amorality.
Trivia[edit]
- When the Japanese developers remade Ultima IV for the Famicom/NES, Romasco's name was transliterated in a form similar to "Ra-ma-se-co". Later, when the game was localized into English, "Ra-ma-se-co" was rendered as "Ramsel".
