Map of The Lost Lands

The Lost Lands map was included with Ultima Online: The Second Age, on the flip side of the Britannia map.

Description[edit]

The paper map of the Lost Lands is made to look as if drawn on pergament, yellowed with age. All the important locations are marked in runic script. Due to the dangers in that land, having the map is of advantage. The map is on the flip side of the paper map of Britannia coming with the game, meaning it was never distributed on its own.

Other Releases of the Map[edit]

In later editions of the map, it is drawn in full color and the runic script is translated to normal English for the convenience of the players. The map is altered a lot from the original, using the same textures as the Britannia map. Often it is then no longer a separate map but presented right beside the Britannia map.

Note that for the expansion Ultima Online: Third Dawn, a limited special cloth map was made, with a map of the Lost Lands right beside Britannia. These special edition were available in the US and Taiwan. The map can be seen below. This combined map replaces the runic on the map with normal Latin letters. Since the cloth map was only a limited run, all later combined maps – and all maps in other regions of the world – were made of paper.

Alternate Maps[edit]

Trivia[edit]

  • The map was printed on the Second Age mouse pad, that was distributed with the Japanese pre-order editions of The Second Age.
