Jingles is a young mage living in Paws during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Jingles was apprenticed to the wizard Mentorian, who had knowledge of the powerful Gate Travel spell. Should the Stranger express an interest in meeting the youth's master to inquire about such magic, Jingles would reveal that his teacher lived in a hidden village near Lock Lake, which was only accessible by ship.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Jingles can be identified as a man in white in the south of town, who admits being a penniless magician. Instead of directing the Stranger to his master, he reveals the recipe for the Reflect spell – an enchantment exclusive to the NES remake.[2]
