Jeremy is the chef at The Slaughtered Lamb in Yew during the events of Ultima V.

Jeremy spoke of how he was trying to collect money to get his brother Jerone out of prison, saying that the fine of 500 gold coins was far more than he had. The Avatar could choose to give him a donation of 30 gold coins to help pay his brother's fine. Thankful, Jeremy offered the hero five lockpicks for the price of 50 gold coins.[1]

In Ultima V: Lazarus, Jeremy's relationship to the other citizens of Yew is more fleshed out, mentioning how his employer Duclas had been like a father after his real family died, and how Renayl had provided him a cheap rate on lockpicks to try to rescue his brother Jerone. He also lamented the seeming futility of trying to rescue his brother, stating that he'd never be able to raise the needed gold,[2] and all attempts at freeing his brother had been for naught.
Should the hero rescue Jerone by paying his ransom, Jeremy would be extremely grateful for the Avatar's assistance, remarking that his brother had left town to avoid the risk of reincarceration.
